I have sucessfully compiled vasp 4.6 on my PC. But when I run a program it shows the error

You are using the Gamma-point only version with more than one k-point |
| or some other non Gamma k-point )

the executable file I am having is vasp.4.6.21.gamma.static.ser.x. Do I need a different executable file or VASP is not compiled correctly. If i need a different executable then from where can i get it from?

yes, you need an executable which can handle more than just the Gamma point.
please read the manual
